Swales welcomes wind turbine plans on Corus

August 13, 2010 4:58 PM

Ian Swales, MP for Redcar, is delighted to hear that there is to be more investment coming to the area. Commenting on this Ian Swales said ''this is yet another demonstration that this area can be a centre for green technology. Wind turbines that will be distributed all over the world will have been made in Teesside, where we already have the industrial base and skill set to manufacture these parts''

''I am pleased that the Government has played its part in this by approving the plans to build thousands of wind turbines over the next 10 years. I hope that this announcement will give the area further hope that jobs are being created in these areas of new technology.''

''Its developments like this that will help to cement this area's economic future, especially with the continuing growth of green technology, and if we continue to harness this new industry then Teesside can revitalise itself once more''

If you are a resident of the Redcar constituency and are writing to discuss any issue that Parliament or government is responsible for, you must provide your home address as MPs are generally only permitted to act on behalf of constituents.

If you are not a constituent, you do not need to provide your address, but the matters we can deal with are more limited and you may wish to contact your local MP in the first instance.
