Ian Swales MP is attending the events in Redcar today to mark Armed Forces Day. This celebration of those that fight for our country prompts events nationwide and Redcar will see people gather for a service of remembrance, the presence of organisations such as the RNLI and Help For Heroes, drill displays from the Army, Royal Air Force and Royal Navy and an appearance of a Tiger Moth fighter plane flying by over Redcar's beach.
Ian Swales said "I am delighted to be involved in Armed forces Day. It was a great experience to be in Redcar on Tuesday to welcome back the Yorkshire Regiment from Afghanistan.
"We all owe a tremendous debt to the work our armed forces do and must never forget those killed or wounded in the service of our country."
