Ian was elected to Parliament in the early hours of Friday May 7th 2010 and was declared
the first ever Liberal Democrat MP for Redcar. He overturned a massive majority to see him
win the seat with a 21.8% swing. He came into politics because he genuinely cares about
the area that his family live in and have lived in for over 30 years. He is dedicated to
raising issues that directly affect the people in his constituency and fighting to give the area
a much needed voice in Parliament.

In The ConstituencyI am always out and about in the constituency, meeting everyone from local businesses to voluntary organisations. I like to keep you all informed of my whereabouts, so if you click on the link on the side bar then you will be able to see my diary updates. My interactive map also shows you where I have been. You can also see what I have been up to on my news page Constituency OfficeIan's constituency office is currently located at Room 103, The Innovation Centre, Vienna Court, Kirkleatham Business Park. The office acts as a point of contact for constituents and through it Ian's team have handled over 4000 pieces of casework on behalf of local people. As well as Ian's face to face surgeries which are held fortnightly (see below) constituents can contact Ian's office on (01642) 777940 between the hours of 10am and 4pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
